The silence in our strategy meetings hasn't been replaced by data-driven debate; it has been replaced by a polite, skeptical distance from the screen. If your product lines are still evolving rapidly, where the definition of a "unit" changes every quarter, a rigid analytics layer will become technical debt before the onboarding is finished. I learned this the hard way. We pivoted our pricing model three months into the implementation. The effort to re-map the historical data to the new model was so high that we just... didn't. The cost of this misjudgment isn't just the subscription fee. It is the decision paralysis that sets in when the team realizes the dashboard is a lagging indicator. We stopped trusting our gut, which was tuned to the market, and started waiting for the data to confirm what we already knew.
